With the significant increase in population, a need to provide
food security emerged.
To this end, a national plan was devised so as to cope with the incredible
increase of food requirements. The Osman Group participated in this plan by
establishing “ElWaffa Farm Company” in 1983 with a capital of L.E. 50,000,000.
Activities:
- The development of fisher, live stock and poultry farms.
- This is in addition to the production of large quantities of various species of Muscovy duck and fish.
Major Products:
- Duck farms: black Muscovy duckling, mule duckling and peki duck.
- Fish farms: male mono sex tilapia fish and some species of
marine fish (sea bass, sea bream, etc…) - Fish hatcheries: Marine larvae of sea bream, sea bass and shrimp
and fry of mono sex tilapia. - Chicken farms: different color day old chicks of traditional white.
- Turkey farms: black and white and double breast bronze turkey.
- Sheep farms: high quality of mutton meat and feedlot lamb.
- Rabbit farm: various species of rabbit.
